Camillo Lombard was born into a musical family. He is a self-taught instrumentalist who started playing piano at the age of 4, and professionally at 19. He received his performance Diploma from the London College of Music in 2011, Jazz Piano Teacher’s Diploma in 2014, and Fellowship Degree in 2015. In February 2015 he was a visiting African Scholar and Performer at the Berklee College of Music, Boston USA. He is well traveled and has performed in many countries at various jazz festivals.

Camillo is a Co-Founder and Executive Director of Cape Music Institute, and has managed the music institute for 14 years.


Camillo is the pianist for well known band TopDog SA who has released their album Griqua DNA, and DVD - Nama Jazz Series.
